Sam and Jordan were in New York visiting from Colorado and the timing worked out perfectly for us to sneak in some engagement photos one lazy summer afternoon. We wandered around Harriman State Park picking blueberries, splashing around the lake, kicking off our shoes and rolling around in the grass.
I love watching the two of them interact. Sam & Jordan’s love is so beautiful and playful that I didn’t have to do much in terms of directing them. I’m always excited to work with couples who kind of just forget I exist and focus on each other instead. The tone of this shoot is what I strive for, always: just a couple of pals with no real agenda, wandering around without pressure to be anything; just creating what is honest and genuine.
So that’s how the afternoon was spent; the two of them underneath the trees slow dancing, laying in the grass, soaking each other in and me quietly trying to capture it all.
S&J, your love is effortless.
