I’ve been to Colorado a handful of times and I’m always smitten with it every time I go!
This time I was here for Sam & Jordan’s winter wedding, which was a big change of scenery from the Summer engagement session they had earlier that year.
Sam & Jordan’s wedding day had a perfect start, with a light dusting on the round and the softest amount of falling snow. They spent a slow morning getting ready and then met up in a park nearby for their first look.
I’m a huge fan of first looks! The main reason is because it gives the couple a chance to breathe & be together. Wedding days can be hectic! From the moment you walk down the aisle, the couple typically doesn’t get much time for themselves. I always suggest having a first look because it’s time carved out for the couple to be present with each other and to take a moment to soak it all up.
S&J read letters that they wrote during their first look, which was such an emotional & intimate way to express themselves without having everyone around.
The rest of their wedding day was filled with their ceremony, reception & plenty of dancing that kept everyone warm from the cold December night.
Their wedding venue was Zoe’s Cafe in Greeley, Colorado. The cafe is a quaint little non-profit coffee shop & event space with a beautiful industrial backdrop in the middle of downtown Greeley.
The night was ended by sending off the newlyweds through a sparkler tunnel lining the sidewalk. It was a perfect ending to this beautiful winter wedding.
